carbide tipped twist drills drill faster in fiberglass and are NC quality
and design. GLASS-CUTTM Carbide tipped
twist drills need less thrust for fast penetration and to prevent delamination
on exit. Severe cutting edge relief allows 2 to 4 times conventional drill
feed rates for more parts per hour. This free cutting design reduces heat
at the cutting edge and prevents build up of heat softened resin. Increases
in RPM are possible. We do not recommend speed ups.
Replacement to GLASS-CUTTM
drills for WORK HORSETM or other non-ferrous or cast iron drills is best.
Without changing your existing set up you will have more parts per hour
because of increased feed rates. Improved hole quality will result from
free cutting the tough hard tungsten carbide tip which will resist abrasion.
This drill obsoletes the use of high high speed drills for drilling fiberglass.
